In these uncertain times, let us practice self-care and acceptance. Many people get distressed over things they can’t control or have difficulty accepting. Learn to recognize and accept things that are out of your control.

Ask yourself, “Is there a specific step I can take right now to address this issue?”

If it is something you can control, try to take small steps to solve the issue in a calm manner.

Your SUHi School Counselors wants you to know that your feelings are valid, no matter what they are.

You might feel scared, confused, overwhelmed, angry, alone, grateful, or completely calm. 

You might feel many things all at once, like being upset that an event was cancelled, but happy that you can wear your pajamas all day. 

Your feelings are normal; the situations is not. 

Don't forget to breathe.
